Nord Ovest

Il Nord-Ovest Milano si caratterizza per una sua "specificità" ed una sua "compattezza" territoriale: è un ambito rappresentato dall'insieme di centri sviluppati attorno alle direttrici nord e ovest della regione urbana milanese, e a cavallo dell'asse del Sempione. Si tratta di ambiti urbani dotati di caratteristiche proprie e di propri ritmi di sviluppo, ciascuno interessato da straordinari processi di trasformazione che tendono ad accentuarne le interrelazioni.
Il Nord-Ovest possiede le caratteristiche e le risorse è non solo economiche è per intraprendere, nel cuore della regione urbana milanese, un nuovo percorso di sviluppo volto alla costruzione di un 'milieu innovateur', ossia di un sistema territoriale capace di generare innovazione attraverso l'interazione tra le reti degli attori, il saper fare e le competenze, il patrimonio delle risorse materiali e le relazioni con l'ambiente esterno (tecnologico e di mercato).
Punto di forza dell'area è sicuramente il Nuovo Polo Fieristico Rho-Pero, che sta modificando la vocazione, il tessuto economico, gli insediamenti e l'accessibilità dell'area.



North West

North West Milan has its own 'specific' character and a certain territorial 'compactness': it consists of towns that have developed around the main northern and western arteries of the Milanese urban area and across the Sempione axis. These are urban contexts with their own particular features and their own rates of development, but they are all involved in extraordinary processes of transformation that tend to accentuate relations between them.
The North West has the characteristics and the resources � not only economic � to undertake a new type of development process, right in the heart of the Milan area. The plan is to create a 'milieu innovateur', or, in other words, a territorial system that can generate innovation by combining and interacting between various networks of players, know-how and skills, the wealth of material resources and relations with external technological and market environments.
The main strength of the area is characterised by the New exhibition system, which is redefining the economic structure, the vocation as well as the infrastructure of the area.
